This book is a catalog of tokens, food stamp
change tokens, wooden nickels, medals, watch fobs, tool checks,
encased coins, badges, pins or ribbons, paper scrip, National
Currency notes, stock certificates, checks, and other numismatic
items from or pertaining to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The
listings are arranged by county and town, and are assigned
catalog numbers and codes, with items from about 152 towns
listed. At the end of each county listing is a list of all other
towns that once existed in the county, or for which no objects
have been recorded. The back of the book has plates illustrating
many of these items, and an index to maverick listings (items
which do not have the name of the town on them).
